12/20/2011 - Letter from the President

Rudolph (the Red Nosed Reindeer, that is) is one of my favorite Christmas characters. He's the "poster deer" for persistence, determination and dedication to purpose.

Robert Rippentrop president of Media Services in Kansas City When everyone let him know his bright red nose was strange and below minimum standards, he had to make a choice.

Rudolph chose to keep going toward his goal of one day leading Santa's sleigh, and he stuck to it every single day. Rudolph did not give up or give in. He didn't focus on changing others. He was just the best he could be, every day. He grew strong, got on Santa's team of lead reindeer, and ultimately improved the way the gifts were delivered.

We could all be Rudolphs, focusing on what we can do, finding a way to serve others, and being a bright light for our community.

To each and every team member, client, partner and friend, thank you all for the ways you've been a Rudolph. Your dedication and support is truly appreciated.

12/20/2011 - Facility Expansion in Kansas City

In response to the escalating demand for better document management and accessibility, Media Services is expanding their underground Kansas City facility. The expansion primarily accommodates growth in the record center and scanning departments, areas of strong growth.

Media Services is one of the few high volume scanning operations and record centers in the Midwest. Their underground facilities ensure 24/7 security, a climate controlled document preservation area, and the best protection from the elements found in the Midwest.

The new space will allow for expanded production capabilities including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) conversions, Scan-on-Demand (SOD), and storage of archival items. High ceilings, controlled environmental conditions, and 24/7 security provide excellent conditions for storage of large and valuable items.

"This expansion accommodates new clients as well as the growing needs of current clients" said Gregory Turner, Operations Manager.

Media Services has a second location in the Meritex Executive Park in Lenexa, KS. The Lenexa location is also underground, and operates as a record center. The Kansas City location is operated in the Hunt Midwest Subtropolis.
